This page describes aerius’s standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Child Safety Standards
aerius maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Such content and conduct are strictly prohibited on aerius.
Minimum age
Use of aerius is restricted to people aged 16 and older. The minimum age is set out in our Terms of Use.
How we prevent and combat abuse
- Reporting: Any user can report posts (drops), statuses, chat messages, trails, and user profiles directly in the app with a few taps — including child safety concerns.
- Blocking: Users can block others; the blocked person’s content and messages are then hidden.
- Moderation: Reported content is reviewed. Violating content is removed, and accounts that break our rules may be warned or banned.
- Clear rules: Our Terms of Use explicitly prohibit illegal, abusive, and child-endangering content.
Reporting to authorities
When we become aware of child sexual abuse material, we act immediately: we remove the content, ban the responsible accounts, and report relevant cases to the competent authorities or reporting bodies — depending on jurisdiction, for example the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) in Germany or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). aerius complies with applicable child protection laws.
